Young Blood's Story

Get to Know Me
How I Got the Nickname "YoungBlood":
Back in 2018, I was part of an amazing community called First Take Your Take, where the show First Take released a new debate topic each week and selected one winner to debate Stephen A. Smith or Max Kellerman. During one of the shows, in a segment discussing the 2018 March Madness tournament, co-host Molly Qerim called me "YoungBlood" live on national TV. The name stuck—and it’s been with me ever since.
Bracketology History:
Since 2021, I’ve been creating weekly bracketologies from January through March. This year, I took things a step further by launching my own website to showcase my projections. I officially joined the Bracket Matrix for the 2024–2025 season, where I ranked 48th out of 249 total bracketologists and 8th out of 64 in the Newbie category. Be sure to follow along each week to see my updated brackets!
My Experience in Sports:
I studied Sports Management at Oklahoma State University, where I met some incredible people and athletes. My sophomore year was especially memorable—OSU made it to March Madness with Cade Cunningham, which deepened my passion for college basketball. During my time there, I also worked closely with several student-athletes, helping them build their personal brands and navigate NIL deals. It was an amazing hands-on experience that taught me so much about the intersection of sports, business, and athlete empowerment.
What I Do for Work:
I was a licensed real estate agent in Arizona starting in July 2024. In January 2025, I transitioned back into the sports world by joining a sports marketing agency. That role eventually led me to a fellowship opportunity with Old Dominion Athletics, where I now work in their NIL department.
My Passions:
Beyond sports—especially college basketball—I’m deeply passionate about my faith and my relationship with Jesus Christ. He’s been with me through everything, and I strive daily to grow in my walk with Him.
